Hello all. We are less 10 weeks away from the 2015 NFL Season and I couldn’t be more excited. Here is a list of my Qb rankings for the upcoming season. I will go more in depth in some cases than others and I use the traditional system of 1 pt per 25 yards passing, 4 pts per touchdown, -2 pts per interception, 1 pt per 10 yards rushing, 6 pts per rushing touchdown, and -2 pts per fumble. 1. Andrew Luck (Indianapolis Colts)- I drafted Andrew Luck last year in the 5th round in a league that gives bonuses for 300 yard games. 40 td’s, 10 300 yard games, and a #1 Fantasy Qb ranking…
  • Is Tight End Streaming the Way to Go in 2015 Fantasy Football?

Rob Gronkowski is a yearly injury risk. Jimmy Graham was a first round pick in 2014 and finished as fantasy football’s third tight end. Antonio Gates was drafted in the 12th round and finished the year #2 behind The Gronk. Vernon Davis, Jordan Cameron, Jason Witten, Jordan Reed, Kyle Rudolph and Dennis Pitta were all inside the top-10 for tight ends when you look at 2014 ADP. Only Jason Witten (10th) actually lived up to his draft value. The point? The elite tight end options aren’t always what they’re cracked up to be. Travis Kelce was a popular streaming pick at the…

  • Seahawks RB Robert Turbin may not be ready for Week 1

    6 Jul 2015 | 9:49 pm
Robert Turbin underwent offseason hip surgery and has missed all of the Seahawks offseason workout program. He is the clear-cut RB2 behind Marshawn Lynch, however, there is some concern that Turbin may not be ready for the start of the regular season. The Seahawks may have trouble replacing his blocking and pass-catching ability if he's not ready to go when the season kicks off. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Turbin is the clear backup and handcuff for Beastmode. Things are really up in the air if Turbin is out and Lynch goes down. As of now it looks like undrafted free agent Thomas Rawls may be the back…
  • Report: Cowboys and WR Dez Bryant could have a deal done 'by midweek'

    6 Jul 2015 | 9:28 pm
The Dez Bryant contract saga continues in Dallas, however, it has now taken a drastic turn for the better. It is beginning to look like the two sides will almost certainly get a long-term deal done before the July 15 deadline. CBS' Jason La Canfora tweeted out that a deal could be imminent. He stated, "Expect things to continue evolving and possibly conclude by midweek". FANTASY ANALYSIS: This is a deal the Cowboys desperately need to get done. With all the issues they already have with suspensions and troubled players, the last thing they need is a disgruntled star wideout. Regardless of the…

    6 Jul 2015 | 8:56 pm
With his contract situation with the Seahawks still up in the air, Russell Wilson continues to talk about playing baseball. He was recently asked if he preferred baseball or football. He answered, "Both." Once again he was asked if he will ever be a two-sport athlete. "I have no idea," Wilson said. "I believe if anybody could do it, I could. And I believe God's put me mdash; gave me the ability to do it. I've done it my whole life." FANTASY ANALYSIS: This is not a case of Wilson trying to use baseball as leverage or any in depth plot. This is simply a case of everybody is asking Wilson about…
  • Lions WR Golden Tate was substantially better without Megatron in 2014

    6 Jul 2015 | 6:51 pm
Calvin Johnson was either out or very limited in five games last season. Golden Tate was good all season but he was unbelievable in those five games. If Tate maintained the pace he set in those five games for 16 games, he would have totaled 125 receptions, 1,917 yards and 10 touchdowns. However, in the other 11 games his pace would have come out to 87 receptions, 1,065 yards and just two TDs. All of this averaged out to him ending 2014 with career-high fantasy numbers of 99-1,331-4. FANTASY ANALYSIS: There are quite a few things to take into account this season when drafting Tate this season.

  • NFL Rookies to Stay Away from in Fantasy Football

    5 Jul 2015 | 10:44 pm
Fantasy football players looking to strike gold in their drafts this year will want to take chances on rookies who have star potential. There are a number of rookies, however, who fantasy GMs might be best suited avoiding. In some cases, there are rookies simply coming off the board too early in fantasy drafts, given the risk factors associated with those players that could keep them from realizing their potential in year one. For example, St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley is still recovering from a torn ACL, which makes him a high-risk selection in the early rounds of a fantasy draft.
  • Fantasy Football Sleepers 2015: The Top 25 Names to Know

    29 Jun 2015 | 4:00 am
There probably isn't a more overused term in all of fantasy football than "sleeper." Says the guy who just used it in the title of this piece. Every year, fantasy pundits far and wide roll out their lists for the top sleepers in a given season. Many of those lists contain the same players, which sort of defeats the purpose of calling that player a "sleeper" to begin with. If everyone and their mother knows about a guy, he's not a "sleeper" anymore—he's officially awake. However, this isn't to say that those "sleeper" lists can't be of great use to fantasy owners. Victory in fantasy…

Andre Johnson is out of the picture, making Hopkins the clear cut number one option in Houston. Expect Hopkins to take the reigns and have a big year, even if the quarterback situation ends up getting a little shaky. Hopkins should total over 150 points in fantasy leagues this year. 14. Emmanuel Sanders: The man that rode the Manning wagon. This guy is…

We’re about halfway through the dynasty off-season and ADP of both startup and rookie drafts have begun to solidify. For this two part series, I will be focusing on my perceived market inefficiencies in rookie drafts. I thought about making a title involving Randall and that yellow vegetable but I thought it would be too “corny.”   I’ll admit that was a terrible joke, but saying Randall Cobb is an elite dynasty wide receiver is also something that does not deserve to be laughed at. Cobb has been slowly moving up ADP, however there is still value to be had. Per DLF monthly ADP, he has moved into the early second round of startups as the WR9 in the last few months, so I wouldn’t go as far as saying we are fast asleep on him, more that we just woke up and haven’t had a cup of coffee yet. I have…

Reality Sports Online presented a lot of firsts in my dynasty career. This is my first contract/salary cap league as well as my first ever live dynasty draft/auction. Our subjects all have varying levels of “sleeperness,” but each merits a bit of in-depth discussion here in the Premium Content section. To help everybody along, we are going to be categorizing our sleepers under one of three headings: Super Deep Sleepers – Players who aren’t roster-worthy in 12-team leagues, but are still worth keeping an eye on. Percy Harvin is a bit of an NFL enigma. His career has been full of ups and then both migraine headaches and injuries bringing him back down. After his attitude became too much for the Seattle Seahawks last season, he was traded to the New York Jets. Now he’s a member of the Buffalo Bills, who are quickly becoming the most hyped team in the league. Let's talk a walk down memory lane to gauge Harvin's potential fantasy football value in 2015. My name
    18 Apr 2015 | 10:03 am
Every fantasy football league has that one owner who drafts a rookie quarterback way too early. Rookie quarterbacks historically have it rough their first couple of years in the NFL, so why waste a pick?  Sure it may have worked-out for those owners who drafted Andrew Luck or RGIII in 2012, but weren't their rookie years anomalies? There are two big-name quarterbacks coming out of the NFL draft in 2015, two Heisman Trophy winners at that.  Let's compare their potential fantasy value of Jameis Winston vs Marcus Mariota heading into the 2015 fantasy football season. The 2014 NFL season is behind us.  The New England Patriots have won yet another Super Bowl, cementing both Tom Brady and Bill Belichick's place among the all-time greats. Over the past decade, it has been much of the same in the NFL: the same teams keep winning and the same teams keep losing. The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics are among the league’s worst teams despite winning championships within the past 8 seasons.  Now, the Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors, and Cleveland…

    My name

Many of the players in the league work hard for their money throughout their careers; however, some players have millions of dollars thrown at them for seemingly nothing. Let's take a look at some of the most overpaid players in the NFL today: 10. Adrian Peterson = $11.75 Million Sure Adrian Peterson didn't play the entire season, but his 15-game suspension was self-inflicted. • Overpaying Quarterbacks is Pushing other Studs to the... Raiders?

    My name
    6 Mar 2015 | 8:15 am
There is a current trend in the NFL to give quarterbacks as much money as they demand with little thought about the near future of the franchise. Well, teams that have done this are starting to see the negative side-effects of doing so. Dedicating between 10 and 20 percent of a team’s entire salary cap to one player is a recipe for disaster, especially when other big name players reach the end of their respective contracts. Players in the NFL know what they are worth, and if the team that they are currently with is unable to pay them their asking price, then they will likely find…

Rawls played for Central Michigan in college, where he rushed for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns during his senior year. The back was undrafted due to glaring off the field issues. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, New York Giants defensive lineman Jason Pierre-Paul could miss the start of the season due to a hand injury caused by fireworks. Pierre-Paul is still in the hospital, so we don’t have a definitive report to the extent of the injury. Several reports have suggested that there is some sort of nerve damage in one or multiple fingers. Losing Pierre-Paul for any amount of time would be a huge loss for the Giants defense. This article will help you decide what to do with those players. Player: Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed  Injury: knee “clean up” procedure, hamstring strain during 2014 season Prognosis: The only thing more talked about than Reed’s immense physical gifts is the laundry list of injuries he’s dealt with in his short career. Last season, Reed missed time with both a sprained thumb and strained hamstring, which limited his snaps for the entire season. Reed tried multiple times to get back on the field from the hamstring issue and just could not seem to stay healthy. While he’s had a full off-season to rest the hamstring,…

  • Ziggy Ansah: Too Much Upside to Ignore

    Brian Jester

It’s not often that you find a college football player with just three years of football experience who gets selected in the top five of the NFL draft, but that’s what happened with BYU defensive end Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah in 2013. Ansah, who did not play football in high school nor receive an athletic scholarship to attend BYU, walked onto the Cougars’ football team in 2010. Matt Forte regularly gets mentioned among the league's elite running backs. He is one of the most versatile backs in the NFL, does most of his talking on the field and regularly churns out eye-popping stats. Forte has amassed over 1,000 yards in his last three seasons and also added over 200 catches, over 1,000 yards receiving and eight catching touchdowns over that period. • New England Patriots 2015 Fantasy Football Preview

    Kevin Roberts
    6 Jul 2015 | 1:05 pm
It’s early, but when will there be a better time to start previewing fantasy football situations on a team-by-team basis than July? Training camp isn’t here, games are a month away and there is otherwise no real reason to care about pro football. That is, unless you’re preparing for your 2015 fantasy football draft (as you should be). That brings us to Breaking Football’s team fantasy previews and we’re kicking things off with the defending Super Bowl champs. Tom Brady has yet to hear back on his appeal of a four-game ban and his availability at the very least is…
  • Is Tight End Streaming the Way to Go in 2015 Fantasy Football?

    Kevin Roberts
    5 Jul 2015 | 2:38 pm
Travis Kelce was a popular streaming pick at the…
  • 2015 Fantasy Football: Potential Breakout Players on New Teams

    Kevin Roberts
    5 Jul 2015 | 1:46 pm
Every NFL season brings new opportunity for players who failed in one place but have a chance at a fresh start in their new city. Not everyone capitalizes on moving to a new team, as some players who land huge contracts in free agency relax after getting paid or simply aren’t an ideal fit in their new offenses. We needn’t worry about the misses of the past, though. Right now, while the summer carries a dormant feel with no real news making it’s way through the airwaves, we have plenty of time to analyze and project. Oh, the possibility. That’s precisely what a lot of…
  • 2015 Fantasy Football: Is it Time to Trust in Richard Rodgers?

    Kevin Roberts
    5 Jul 2015 | 12:25 pm
Andrew Quarless has been a pretty mediocre player for the Green Bay Packers. He seemed to think he had the goods of a stud tight end when he commented on his future earlier this summer, but regardless of whether or not he had a point, his latest fiasco that involves firing a gun in public almost surely means he’s going to be wrong about being one of the league’s top tight ends. For 2015, at the very least. Quarless had some ability, but he’s not a freak athlete and he certainly hadn’t shown enough leading into this summer to get fantasy football owners excited about…
  • Antonio Gates Suspension Opens Door For LaDarius Green

    Kevin Roberts
    5 Jul 2015 | 12:08 pm
Finally, the time has come. It’s not that we want bad things for 35-year old Antonio Gates. It’s actually the opposite after the San Diego Chargers’ ageless wonder finished as a top-five tight end in fantasy football a year ago, largely thanks to a ridiculous 13 touchdowns. He was entering his NFL deathbed, or we all thought, yet he instead put up a career-ish season and kept one of fantasy experts’ favorite sleepers, Green, at bay. That’s changing to start 2015, as Gates is due to serve a four-game ban for PED abuse. That obviously leaves an old tight end with a…

Ameer Abdullah 6/23/2015: Ameer Abdullah has some serious upside; in fact, he has monster upside. This isn’t to say I don’t like Joique Bell a lot, as he could have a big season if he can stay healthy. The thing is, though, it’s June, and while Bell could be solid in 2015, we could be looking at a future stud in Abdullah, so dynasty owners need to be on the lookout. His value is consistently rising, so you most likely won’t be able to steal him away from his current owner in any of your dynasty leagues, but it’s worth a try. And, if you can’t steal him…
